COVID-19 Policy

These are uncertain times for everyone, but our flexible booking policy aims to give you peace of mind.

Everyone’s circumstances are different, so please get in touch if your course has been cancelled or moved to remote only, you’re struggling with your visa or anything else that’s making it difficult to make plans or commit.  We’ll try our best to help.

Our priority is your wellbeing. We have put in place policies and procedures to help keep you safe and healthy, following government guidance. These guidelines will allow us (and you) to:

  • Keep social distance, especially in shared spaces
  • Support those who aren’t well or otherwise need to isolate
  • Relocate students who are vulnerable if needed
  • Keep our locations safe

The best online resources and advice for students

University life comes with plenty of freedom, but with freedom comes the inevitable reality of having to manage certain things on your own. We’re not going to patronise you by telling you how hard this is going to be, but that you can totally do it because you’re amazing. You don’t need that. If you’re reading this, it’s because you’re looking for certain resources to help you get something done.

We’ve put together a collection of our favourite online resources for students, covering key areas you care about; insurance, travel, mental wellbeing, online shopping, financial guidance and entertainment.

Best for comparing student health insuranceBought by Many

We can’t tell you which is the best insurance policy for you, but we can point you to some comprehensive comparisons so that you can make an informed choice. The team at Bought by Many have done the legwork to compare the cheapest and best insurance policies for students.

Best for discount travel and flightsJack’s Flight Club

This is one for when restrictions ease and we’re all travelling freely again.  The idea behind Jack’s Flight Club is simple, you enter your email and they’ll let you know when flights to amazing destinations go for really, really cheap. You can’t specify a destination, but if you don’t care where you go as long as the flight is cheap, then sign up to Jack’s Flight Club.

Best for student mental health and wellbeingStudent Minds

University life can be hard, both in terms of the workload and the emotional strain. Student Minds is a UK charity dedicated to helping students look after themselves, support others and create change. Check it out.

Best for general online discountsHoney

Honey is available as an extension for your desktop browser, and as an app. It will automatically search the internet for discount codes, and apply them at the checkout when you shop online. It’s great because coupon codes aren’t always clearly advertised on a company’s main website. If there’s a code to be had, Honey will find it.

Best for student financial guidanceMoney Advice Service

Got a question about money and need a reliable, unbiased answer? The Money Advice Service has pages dedicated to student finance. If your question is more general, they likely have it covered somewhere else on the site.

Best for entertainment and leisureTime Out

Time Out has been around for a long time, and is still the go-to resource for what’s on at museums, theatres and elsewhere in cities across Europe.  You can use it to plan your downtime away from your course.
