These are uncertain times for everyone, but our flexible booking policy aims to give you peace of mind.

Everyone’s circumstances are different, so please get in touch if your course has been cancelled or moved to remote only, you’re struggling with your visa or anything else that’s making it difficult to make plans or commit.  We’ll try our best to help.

Our priority is your wellbeing. We have put in place policies and procedures to help keep you safe and healthy, following government guidance. These guidelines will allow us (and you) to:

  • Keep social distance, especially in shared spaces
  • Support those who aren’t well or otherwise need to isolate
  • Relocate students who are vulnerable if needed
  • Keep our locations safe

What’s your policy around bookings in light of COVID-19?

Everyone’s circumstances are different, so please get in touch if your course has been cancelled or moved to remote only, you’re struggling with your visa or anything else that’s making it difficult to make plans or commit.  We’ll try our best to help.

What are the payment terms?

Most students pay in three instalments, at the start of each term. You can also pay the whole amount up front.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, there’s a £100 deposit.  This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay with us (less any damages etc.).

What’s included in the rent?

We try to include everything you need so you can focus on doing you rather than dealing with the admin.

All of your utilities are included; gas, electricity, water and super fast wifi.

You’ll just need to arrange for insurance for your belongings and pay to use the laundry facilities. If you want a regular cleaning service for your room we can arrange this but the cost isn’t included in the rent.

Do I need a guarantor? What is a guarantor?!

Yes, you’ll need a UK-based guarantor (unless you choose to pay in full up-front).

This is someone that guarantees to cover your rent or any other payments (for example, if you damage the room) if you have trouble doing so.

We’ll need to see a copy of their passport and a recent utility bill to prove their identity and that they live in the UK.

Who can live with you?

You’re welcome to come and live with us provided that you’re:

  • Over the age of 18
  • A full-time student
  • Happy with our terms, conditions and values

Where are your locations?

We’re currently in Exeter, Falmouth and Southampton.

All of our buildings are brand new for the 2020 / 2021 academic year and in fantastic locations in university cities where you’ll have a great experience.

What types of room do you have?

This depends a little on the location.

We have a mix of:

  • studio rooms; these are rooms that have their own bathrooms and kitchen & living areas
  • en suite rooms; these are rooms that have their own bathrooms but share a kitchen & living area with other students
How big are the rooms?

Our rooms come in different sizes ranging from:

  • The Nest; our standard, but roomy room
  • The Den; a little bigger
  • The Barn; even bigger!

What’s in each room?

We’ve got you covered and provide all the basics to get you started.

That just means that when you’re packing to move into your new home you’ll need to bring bedding (linen, duvet, pillows, towels…) and kitchen equipment (crockery, pans, pots…).

What’s in each building?

Again, this depends a little on the location.

We’ve got fitness and wellness spaces, common rooms and quieter study rooms, as well as bike racks, luggage storage and laundry rooms. Contact us for the details relevant to your location.
